How it works
Yuma water carries a lot of dissolved calcium and magnesium. That's what leaves white spots on dishes, crust on faucets, and scale inside your water heater.
Water passes through a tank of resin beads. The beads hold onto the calcium and magnesium and release a small amount of sodium in their place. Soft water goes on to your whole house.
Every so often, salty water from the brine tank rinses the resin clean and flushes the hardness down the drain. That's why the tank needs salt — and why we deliver it free.
Under the kitchen sink, a separate system pushes water through a fine membrane and filters, then stores it in a small tank for the dedicated drinking faucet.
Water enters from the street, gets filtered and softened, then travels to every tap in the house. The reverse osmosis unit under your kitchen sink gives you the final polish for drinking and cooking.
Our work
One extra we do for our customers: covers that protect equipment from the hot Yuma sun to extend its life. Here are water softener and reverse osmosis systems installed at customers' homes.

Owner Operator · Office Manager · Girl Scout Leader
I'm a proud small-business family member, dedicated Girl Scout Leader, and community-minded mom who believes in working hard, showing up, and giving back.
I'm part of C&M Water Systems, our family-owned water treatment business serving Yuma since 1984. Through our work, I help families with residential water treatment, including sales, service and installation. Being part of a family business means more than a job to me — it's about taking care of our customers, building relationships, and carrying forward something our family has worked hard to build.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me wearing my Girl Scout Leader hat. I've been leading Troop #635 for nearly five years and serving as the Yuma County Cookie Mom for the past several years. I love creating opportunities for girls to learn, grow, try new things, and build confidence.
Family is at the center of everything I do. Whether I'm helping a customer, leading a Girl Scout meeting, or making memories with my daughter, I try to leave things a little better than I found them.
FAQ
Most homes do a filter change once or twice a year. Our standard filter change is $125 and includes the service call — if you have a water softener, we check it while we're there.
